    The Gentle Joy
of Folding Media

I like my media sources to dance
for me. There is a look and feel to
finding an element of pleasure in
  the mundane that can absolutely
      transform one's senses. Like a
   time burnished stone that when
 contemplated in hand could with
the right light and background be
featured in a gallery.

Of like mind, The New York Times/
The Arts section face-page for today
stands out. When folded just right it
dances with coy visual flirtatious
humor on upper fold and drenched
with ironic placement of literary
content and social insight on the
lower fold. Irish dancing with no
sound but bare flesh on paper.

When electronic-news platform-designers
can master the page as print designers do,
the print masters shall worry. Until then
                     you have my utmost respect.
